We met in 2008, living our own lives back then. We worked at the same company. The nerdy Web Dev guy broke his laptop so he has a reason to meet the infamous IT girl. Our first “friendly” date was in a 7-11 store. She paid for the two Cornetto ice creams he chose. It was professional and platonic but then the queen of the northern sky, Cassiopeia, sail across the galaxy and lead both of us in each other’s arms (and the rest is history).

The movie Serendipity depicts our love story and the reason why this is our favourite movie of all time. “It was like, in that moment, the whole universe existed to bring us together.” In fall of 2015, we traveled together to New York city where they shoot most of the scenes in the movie. It was surreal.

We’ve travel to a few countries/cities together. Our first out-of-town trip was in Cebu in 2008. We went back to Cebu on her birthday in May 2016 and he proposed to her. We also got to visit Subic, Vigan, Baguio, Corregidor, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Bali, Hong Kong, Macau, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia. Seeing these places and their iconic sites that we only see in movies or magazines, exceptional! And we’re hoping to see more cities together until we’re old, as long as we can.
